YHS Honors Choirs
Chamber Singers and Treble Choir offer vocally/musically-advanced students the opportunity to perform at a collegiate level. The Chamber Singers curriculum is an extension of the concepts developed in Chorus, and is therefore open only to incoming sophomores, juniors and seniors. Treble Choir allows Freshman by 8th grade teacher recommendation only. Performance opportunities are extensive, as are the musical and personal demands on each student.

CONCERT PERFORMANCES
The two required Concert Performances each term provide the linchpin for the entire course. As a performance based discipline, any successful curriculum will be centered on carefully selected literature, composed specifically for that genre of ensemble that follows through and completes the Artistic Process. This is a critical synthesis of all the YHS Honors Choirs Performance Standards & Indicators. Therefore, Concert Performances are a requirement to bring this all together in a unique, dynamic live event.
